The Future
The key objectives are to encourage the retrieval and dissemination of cultural forms, memories and forgotten heritage, as well as to create a healthy and responsible relationship between the arts and tourism.
In the long run, the journey ahead will be to share with
Luang Prabang an option of transforming this outdoor performance into
an annual event. Perhaps, the high-quality remounting of a community cultural
festival will sustain the town and the artists. At the same time, it will
provide a foundation for the living education and transference of their
dance, theatre, music and visual arts from one generation to another.
