Having gone through the theatre studies and drama course at Victoria Junior College, he now dabbles in theatre on the side. He has recently been in the Necessary Stage’s ‘Beginning of the End’ and the 2002 M1 Youth Connection. This is his first production with TheatreWorks. Full-time, he is engaged in the paper chase and in the game of life.

 

 

David is no newcomer to the industry, having worked in entertainment for the last five years; first couple of years in television programming followed by three years in movie production. He has produced six feature-length movies under the Raintree Pictures label including Jack Neo’s hit movies ‘I Not Stupid’ and ‘Liang Po Po – The Movie’; Toronto International Film Festival Discovery Award winner ‘Chicken Rice War’; and ‘2000AD’ that Miramax Films picked up for North American distribution. Deciding to diversify, David added acting to his portfolio by the end of 2001. effectively bilingual, he has in the past one year performed in several theatre productions staged by TheatreWorks, Action Theatre, Toy Factory and Fundamental Disciplinary; and acted in television productions, ‘Restless’ and ‘I Not stupid’ for Mediacorp Channel 5 & 8. other than acting, David is currently planning to direct his first short film before the end of the year and is working with a Canadian producer on his first feature-length screenplay for production in 2003.

 

 

Mitchell began dancing at the age of 9 and since then, he has found it impossible to stop moving to the groove. He began performing professionally on stage at the age of 18, with the SAF Music and Drama Company, where he was trained in dancing, singing and acting. Acting on stage has given him the opportunity to work with many talents. His theatre credits include ‘Hungry’ directed by Gani Abdul Karim and ‘Club Tempest’ by Lim Kay Siu. Recently he collaborated with the Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Young Company in ‘re:Mix’, directed by theatre veterans Dick Lee and Wendy Ng. Mitchell has danced for TV Work’s launch – “TV Land”, conceptualized by Dick Lee and choreographed by British choreographer Mitch Sebastian. Currently studying architecture in NUS, Mitchell aspires to be an all-rounder performer, pushing his talents and abilities to their boundaries and beyond.

 

 

Harris graduated with honours from the National University of Singapore’s Theatre Studies programme. His first foray into theatre was backstage FOR Singapore Repertory Theatre as productions manager for such plays as ’Kiss of The Spider Woman’, ‘Ah Kong’s Birthday Party’, ‘Art’, ‘A Twist of Fate’ and ‘M. Butterfly’, just to name a notable few. He then made his television in a guest-starring role in Television Corporation of Singapore’s ‘Under One Roof.’ This was followed by a lead role in the television film series, ‘Money’, also by TCS. Harris has also ventured into Malay drama acting in ‘Impian’ by United Television International. Most recently, his versatility as singer, actor, host and dancer also earned him a place in TV12 Suria’s talent challenge television series, ‘IKON’.
Harris made his first stage debut as Sebastian and Caliban respectively in 3.14 Productions’ ‘Wayang Tempest’ and ‘Club Tempest’. Comrade Mayor marks Harris’ first productions with TheatreWroks. Harris is currently managed by Fly Entertainment.

 

 

This is Brendon’s first production with TheatreWorks. However he is no newbie to theatre. His previous stage credits include ‘The Optic Trilogy’ and ‘I Am Roger’ (Action Theatre), ‘Circus of Fear’. He has proven his versatility in various lead roles, such as Juliet in ‘Shakespeare’s R&J’ (SRT), The Player in ‘Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead’ and as Nef in ‘The Theory of Everything’ (SRT/East West Players). A familiar face on screens, Brendon can often be seen on TV advertisements such as those by Singtel and Parco Bugis. He has also made guest appearances on TV shows like ‘Coffee on Cream’ and ‘Spin’ (TCS5) and will make an appearance in the latest season of ‘Ah Girl’ (Channel I). Brendon is a proud member of the Association of Singapore Actors (ASA) and is managed by Fly Entertainment.

 

 

Garrett comes to Singapore from LA, where he currently hosts a health series, ‘Kid’s Fitness’. His Equity theatre credits include ‘Shear Madness’, ‘The Crucible’, ‘The Trojan Women’ and ‘Les Liaison Dangereux’. Film and TV credits include programmes produced by ABC, CBS, NBS and Fox. While in Singapore, he has appeared in print advertisements, commercials and MediaCorp’s ‘Heartlanders’.

 

 

A Singaporean performer, Gani has a long string of stage experiences & awards under his belt. A versatile singer and performer, he has appeared in varied roles & worked with reknowned artistes like Glen Goei, Najip Ali, Jacintha, Lea Salonga & Dick Lee.

 

 

Rodney graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies and English Literature in 2000 and has been performing full-time since. Making his debut in 1992, he has performed with diverse theatre companies and appreared in productions such as 'The Private Ear', 'The Bald Soprano', and 'The Chosen Ones' (Centre for The Arts), 'You Can Count On Me' and 'Sex Heroes101' (The Necessary Stage), 'Geylang People in the Net' (The Theatre Practise), 'Water Ghosts' and 'The Lady of Soul and Her Ultimate 'S' Machine' (TheatreWorks' 'Got to Go...Play Till Dawn' and 'Charging Up Memory Lane'), 'Friends' and 'Dream of The Red Chamber' (Action Theatre), 'Love Bites' (3-14 Company), 'Bud' and 'Spring Awakening' (Spell#7). He last appeared in 'The Begining Of the End' (The Necessary Stage). Rodney's TV credits include a supporting role in 'PCK Ptd Ltd' and as a member of the main cast in the teen-drama, 'Spin' on Media Corp Production 5.
